Asssalamu'alaykum,
Whenever people talk about love, what actually comes across your mind?.
Have a look on the list down here:
Mother
Father
Girlfriend(s),
Boyfriend(s),
Sisters,
Brothers,
Wife,
Lamborghini
Ferrari
Mercedes
Gucci
Money
hand shaped of heart
red colour
pink
throbbing heart
Does any of it nail you?. If it is yes, then please say, Astaghfirullah- Allah, I seek Your forgiveness-. Akhi, it is about love. A bit sad here that when we speak about love, something that we really like and lean on, we happen to forget Him and our mother and father enter in before Him.
In what respect have we presented towards Allah swt?. Is it all this while we have been acting so pretentious that we love Allah or is there really a relevant argument for this. We pray 5 times each and every single day, we pray to Allah, chanting His name in nasheeds, portraying how noble He is but when it comes about love, we seem to forget about Him and other things happen to be lingering inside our mind.
Ask yourselves, what this supposed to mean? Of all knowledge that you have, books you have been reading, things you have been discussing, people you have been condemning unremittingly, articles you have been writing , friends that you have been correcting but eventually it does not move yourselves, at all when it comes to you. Are you really sure that you really love Allah?.
When you made a decision, did you often think about Allah first or other things else. Does the level of prioritization of Allah that you have made exceeds your mensuration of your desires?. Think again.
In Psychology, there is a special terminology named Prototype. It simply means what is the most common you have in your mind about everything throughout your past experiences. What have been replicated and taught that serve as a benchmark about any particular component. Yes, I know that there might be some other scientific explanations about this but just for the sake of this moment re-evaluating ourselves.
Putatively, when we claim that we are a Muslim or a believer, should not Allah that should comes first into our mind when the very first time the word uttered?. If it is not, then hurry up to the mirror and ask, why?. Something wrong with you?. Come on, like you read Qur'an every single day, memorize tonnes of Hadith, scarf on your head but why does it all go wrongly all of a sudden?.
This problem is common amongst us Muslims. We tend to be ignorance about this and the worst of it is that we did not even realize it. We keep on throwing the word Halal and Haram here and there but how about our 'amal-practices- that shall be first judged in the graveyard before we proceed to the next level. The main core reason for this is that our lack of knowledge about the exact and actual meaning of Ilah. Familiar with this word? You should, because this is what you have been moistening your mouth 10 times a day if not less.
" I listen to Nasheed, I love Allah so much and it prompts myself to be aware of Him."
To inculcate love in Allah is not through music-though there has been such a heated and acrimonious debate amongst Muslim scholars about its ruling-. Neither nasheed nor pop-rock whatsoever, but it is reflected through the prophetic tradition taught by the Omnipotent One and Only, Allah swt.
This post might be a little bit provocative but it is and admonishment or rather a reminder for me before I share it out with the others. Again ask yourselves,
