Assalamu'alaykum,
I am not going to write a lengthy post this time around. Just a quick update.
I went to Casablanca Airport just now with Adli to say goodbye to our friends;Aiman,Asri, Arif and Syafiq who are flying back to Malaysia. They just finished their first year of study here and they are going to spend 4 months 0f holiday in Malaysia before getting back here.
After all the hugs and kisses, we went back to Rabat and stopped by at the transit station to pray Jama' Qasar and Alhamdulillah, all praise be to Allah, I met a Moroccan Australian Muslim guy in the Musolla. He greeted me at first and I was not really paying attention because he did not give Salam up until he said that he is an Australian. I turned around with shocking face and said, '' You are from Australia? Masha Allah."
I know, some of you my blessed readers might have this question lingering inside your mind, thinking why was I so astounded to know that he came from Australia. For your information, ever since I stepped here in Morocco, I have not used English in any conversation at all. People here speak Arabic, French and Spanish and there are undeniably some of them who speak English, but very little in number. Thus, when he uttered English words, I was a bit surprised and whispered in my heart " It's time to sharpen your English skill back Nabil."
Back to the topic, I went on shooting the breeze with him after quite a tiring journey while Adli performed the Jama' Qasar prayer.
He was born in Casablanca and settled in Australia in 1974. His wife is an Australian and she was a Jewish before she got married with Uncle Sa'id. This was when the conversation went deeper. She was a good and fine Jewish lady as what I was told by Uncle Sa'id. She has done a lot of charities and always argued with her family because of all the bad things that were being done by some of her family members. When she received guidance from Allah swt to embrace Islam, her father gave here choice; Islam or 20 Billion Australian Dollars. Indeed, Allah is the Most Exalted, she refused to take the money and chose Islam as her way of life. After she made that thorough decision, she was ignored and abandoned by her family. When she tried to make a phone call, her father hung up and she was like no longer part of the family, yet her husband advised her to keep in touch with them through emails. Alhamdulillah, her mother at last, after for a while managed to accept the fact that her daughter is no longer Jewish but a Muslim lady, and the same goes to the rest of the family members except for her father. Now she wears the Hijab and never take if off ever since and her father got married with another woman. I awed and kept on moistening my mouth with Zikrullah.
We discussed some other significant issues like all the corruptions that are weakening the country, Morocco and he advised me to educate my children well and nurture them with Islamic teachings. Instill Islam in them and be the best Muslim.
" I went to Malaysia, and I liked it there. It was a very fine and relaxed country. "
" When you get the Qan'ah, this world is nothing to you."
Allahuakbar!.
