Fatma Waterfall Marrakech

Assalamu'alaykum,

The weather here is extremely hot. It is sweltering hot and windy that I'd to pour lotion on my hands before it burns me out. I just got back from Setti Fatma Waterfall, Marrakech. A place you would not want to miss if you happen to visit Marrakech in Morocco. Fatma waterfall nestled beautifully at the countryside under 1 hour's drive south east of busy city of Marrakech. Rising to approximately 1,200-1,500 metres and encircled by formidable mountains, this is an excellent area for gentle hiking and offers a pretty emollient from the summer heat of the city.

The landscape is very profuse and delightful with the local village houses built from bricks made from the local rich red soils.

Surrounded by the zeniths of the eye-captivating High Atlas, Setti Fatma, a village which is notable with visitors is a relatively quiet typical Berber village and worth an amble around if time permits. It has seven medium sized waterfalls; however, as what I have read at times in the year these are inaccessible.

We had a pleasure excursion with 9 of us, Malaysian students. The fact that it was really an exciting journey where we had no idea where is the waterfall located at after the van driver dropped us at the riverside and Alhamdulillah, we followed the trails paved by the local folks and everything went well.

The water was extremely cold and my body was totally benumbed with the piercing frostiness and the water temperature was I guess below zero. I could not even feel my hand for 10 seconds after laying back against the boulders beneath the waterfall and I was shivering so badly. All the eyes were on me and Zaid handed me his towel after seeing me freezing with my pores opened, searching for the heat.

I was really astounded by the magnificent power of Allah. His astuteness is really incomparable. I got myself dumbfounded thinking how could the water be so cold while the weather was ferociously hot and burning. ALLAHUAKBAR!.
