On That Friday Morning...

Salamu'alaykum,

Subhan Allah. What a fine day I had today. A very relaxing and calming moment in my life in an exuberant country, Qatar amidst of the adventurous paves I have traded on, it brought me all the way up to a peace of mind. 3 days ago we departed from Casablanca, Morocco to Doha, Qatar and stopped by at Tunisia.

That day when I was all prepared and walked out of the house in Bouhlal Rabat, all the memories I had in Morocco popped up in my mind in a split second, arranging themselves standing side by side, sculpting every single of it strong and intact in all the neuron veins I possessed.

Every frame of my life in Morocco checked in rapidly; The heart-shattering moment when I was assaulted by a bandit at Oujda and how I was being so clamorous-though I was not aimed at actually- inside the restaurant while watching final football match between Moroccan and Algeria with my Moroccan friends, taunted at as Amitabh Bachan or Amir Khan or the most popular one, Pakistani whenever I walked down the streets, exciting feelings gouged in when I ambled around wonderful gardens encircling the city, chatting with camels, visiting museums at Marakkesh, looking over stuffs at the very best reasonable prices around old historical cities in Fez, experiencing typical villagers life for 2 nights at Tetouan and how I forced myself to swallow everything in and stunned on my feet seeing all those beauteous and gorgeous views ever emerged in front of me, lived in modern city of Rabat for nearly 1 month, witnessed woman almost got her handbag snatched by a young boy at Casablanca, breathed the fresh air at the most soothing city ever in Kenitra... Everything seemed to impede me from going further, out of the house.

Everyone was busy helping out each other carrying the bags with smileys engraved all over the faces and I felt very at peace on that Friday morning. Even if there was a ticking bomb or a blazing fire in front of us, no one could not careless. 17 students all of us, few Malaysian students are going back for good and I could see how they hid their sadness feeling or the lamentation to leave the place that they had struggled to adapt with and achieved a scroll of a degree, or the uneasy feeling being repressed so hard to let go their best companions leaving them all alone, I analyzed discreetly. They are strong, by the name of Allah, I was so amazed. Imagine how they have been parted from their family just to get a certificate to gateway into a field where you can generate money to sustain your life and to keep your generation ongoing and it was not for one month or one year, it was for 3 years, some had more but they did not fret nor grumble. I stepped aside and gave them way to say a farewell. They shook hands and hugged. I noticed how tight were their hugs, and I just smiled. How beautiful. We went straight away to the airport at Casablanca after a very valuable and sentimental moment in life.

We 3 IIUM students flew to Qatar while others transited at Turkey before getting themselves back to the missed homeland, Malaysia.

Now I am in Qatar. A nice luxurious country. The richest in the world. It really defines that when I walked over the immigration units and required to present my credit card though the fact I'd never have one and that day I made one for the record and what was the purpose? For registration before entering the country. Why? I have no idea. Ustaz Salman Ali picked we up at the airport and we were so astounded to see how sophisticated, advanced, modernized and flourishing Qatar is. Their level are far much up than us and the living cost here is shedding down your teeth. Qataris are all rich and they are very few in numbers and most of the people here are immigrants and official workers coming from outside countries.

Yes, they have immigrants more than their respected ostentatious rich citizens. The projects offered here are abundant and they are developing here. But Dubai is very much at the front page compared to Qatar that seems to be quite dull and mundane. I bet after this Qatar will take the lead.

It has been 4 days and I enjoy being here. Alhamdulillah. Praise be to Allah for giving me such opportunity. Insha Allah, I shall share the photo soon. Till we meet again. Salam.

Book 005, Number 2248:

Abu Huraira reported that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) had said: Seven are (the persons) whom Allah would give protection with His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but that of Him (i. e. on the Day of Judgment, and they are):
(123567 skipped)
....
4. two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah;
