Assalamu'alaykum,
The ferocious drought that has engulfed all over Somalia at the moment has resulted refugee crisis as the most severe humanitarian emergency in the world. Its malnourishment put a snatch on the most crucial values of life of the innocent unfed children who were left abandoned at the side of the road having nothing to eat as their parents made their way to the refugee camp located at Dabaab. Their extreme hunger is obvious where we can see the skeletons protruding conspicuously resulted from the malnutrition.
Infertile desert, absence of nutrition and denied aids really chain the parents in agony. The inadequacy of these basic necessities to continue struggling in this world pushes the fathers and mothers to be on a journey to the refugee camp that is situated thousands kilometers away from their homes. After decades of war, small, lifeless bodies lie can be found on the streets of Somalia, left by their parents on the way to the camp and sadly it appears to be the only option to survive. It is really devastating to see how parents have to grudgingly make such decision on their children, picking up who is in and who is out.
What can we do today is to dig in our pocket and assist donate for the poor Somalis quenching their miseries and ephemeral deplorable depredation of human civilization that is taking place.
